Get Your Worship On

Worship. What does it take for you to burst out with a song in your heart, and praise the One who created you? Does the sun need to shine? The world need to be right? Or can you worship no matter what the circumstance?

The LORD who created the heavens and the earth is worthy of our worship no matter how we feel. It shouldn’t matter if the sky is overcast, we feel yucky, our best friend won’t speak to us, or we’ve just burned dinner. God deserves our praise for who he is and what he has done, not because of the circumstances of our life at the moment. He’s not the one who burned dinner, after all.

Have you ever noticed in those times when you feel anything but joyful or happy, if you turn your thoughts away from the problems that surround you and praise God, the darkness begins to lift, even if only a little bit? I’m thinking it might have something to do with the fact Satan cannot stand for us to worship God, and when we do, he sticks his fingers in his ears, and has to leave.

The more we worship God for who he is and what he has done for us, sing praise to his coutesy pixabayname, dig deep into the Bible and meditate on God’s truth, the closer we get to his presence and realize even if it is raining on our parade, God is the One leading that parade, and we’ll be fine.

Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today! Psalm 95:6 (NLT)

I wish you well.
